A year later Bengal was partitioned and Dhaka became the capital of the newly created province of East Bengal and Assam. After the establishment of Dhaka University in 1921 it become part of the university's science section and continues as such. # Shahid Minar –the symbol of sacrifice for mother language in 1952. # Dhakeswari –the state temple of Bangladesh for Hindu Community built by King Ballal Sen in 12th century. Some people believe the city named after the temple. # The National Parliament Complex –master piece of world famous Architect Louis I Kahn, is our Assembly House surrounded by beautiful lake and gardens. Early morning start for Bogura (200 km/ approx 06 hrs). Before leaving Dhaka, visit Baitur Rauf Mosque at Uttara. It is a newly built mosque architected by a lady and won Aga Khan Award in 2016 for this wonderful architecture. En-route visit a weaving village in Tangail. Then drive continues to Bogura through the 11th world’s longest Bangabandhu Bridge. Upon arrival in Bogura, transfer to hotel. After freshen up visit the archeological sites of Mahastangarh –one of the earliest urban archaeological sites so far discovered in Bangladesh. A limestone slab bearing six lines in Prakrit in Brahmi script, discovered in 1931, dates Mahasthangarh to at least the 3rd century BC. The fortified area was in use until the 18th century AD. At present there are several mounds and structural vestiges inside the fortifications. Two kilometer south-east of Mohasthangarh there is another site Gokul Medh locally known as Behula Lakkhindar Basor Ghar also worth visiting. Stay overnight Bogura.

Morning drive to Dinajpur (170 km/ approx 5 hrs) and visit the most famous Kantajew Temple. This spectacular and fabulous terracotta embellishment reflecting the Ramayana & Mohabarata epics has a rare example of its kind in the whole of the subcontinent. It was built in 1752 AD. There is a small mosque 1.5 km south-east the temple, named by the village Nayabad. The mosque was built in 1793 AD by Muslim workers who had come to this place from the west to build Kantajew Temple, for their own use. You will also visit local bazaar and Krishna Temple before check-in hotel (if time permits). Stay overnight Dinajpur.

After breakfast drive to Paharpur (100 km/ approx 3 hrs) and visit the impressive monasteries and the spectacular Buddhist monuments. Paharpur Vihara is the treasured heritage of the world which has got the huge monastery with 177 monastic cells including with courtyard, is designated as a UNESCO world heritage site in 1985. A site museum house with the rich collections of recovered objects, black stone sculptures, images of gods & goddess of Hindu epics is worth visiting. After visiting the world heritage site, you may visit Kusumba Mosque on the way to Rajshahi. The mosque built 1558-59 AD during the period of Afghan rule in Bengal under one of the last Suri rulers Ghiyasuddin Bahadur Shah, by one Sulaiman who was probably a high ranking official. Although built during Suri rule, it is not influenced at all by the earlier Suri architecture of North India and is well grounded in the Bengal style. The brick building, gently curved cornice and the engaged octagonal corner towers are typical features. Stay overnight Rajshahi.

After breakfast, we drive 55 km to Tikoil known as Alpona Gram (painting village). In this village you can see rows and rows of mud-walled houses are painted as like a different canvas. These are not drawn by any artist; the main artisans are housewives and girls of this village. Then drive 55 km to the ancient capital of Bengal, Gaud to visit such noteworthy mosques as Chhota Sona Masjid, Darasbari Mosque, Khania Dighi Mosque, Madrassa, Tahkhana and the mausoleum of Saint Shah Niamatullah. Drive back to Rajshahi in the evening and stay overnight. In the evening, you can visit some silk houses to buy some clothes as a souvenir for your family and friends. Rajshahi silk is very famous for its high quality used for clothing, especially for Saris.

After breakfast you guide will offer you visit a Silk Factory to experience how the fibers made from silkworms. The very thin fibers resulting from the process are covered with sericin –a special protein of cocoons. This is a very interesting thing. From the record, the silk production began in this region on 13th century. Then drive 40 km to Puthia known as Temple City. The temple complex consists of a cluster of notable old Hindu temples. The temples were built by Hindu Landlords & Kings of the Puthia Royal family. The temples have been built in terracotta in a variety of styles combining the typical Jor-Bangla architecture with other influences. The King Palace and the exquisite & unique Dol Mancha are also the parts of the complex. Afternoon, drive back to Dhaka (230 km/ approx 7 hrs) and stay overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to airport for onward destination.
