Tour Overview

Day 1

kathmandu

Our representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport’s arrival hall after immigration and then transfer to your designated hotel. After Lunch visit the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most scared of all Hindu temples, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated five kilometres east on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple with its two tiered golden roof and silver doors is famous for its superb architecture. Then visit Boudhanath Stupa –the largest Buddhist Stupa in the world just beyond the Pashupatinath temple. It is built on a flat surface on various levels of terraces, and is painted in pastel adorned with prayer flags. It is set in a Mandala design. Altogether 108 Buddha images and 147 insets of prayer wheels adorn the base of the huge circular edifice. The settlement of Boudhanath has the largest community of Tibetans – Twelve thousand in all. Further visit the Monastery for blessing and Tibetan hospitable and for wellness 1 hr Tibetan Message with traditional herbs oil and & Thanks panting house and Tibetan Bread making house. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2

Patan city

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of the ancient Patan City will be offered. Visit Kumari –The Living Goddess of Patan for blessing and Tika. The major tourist attractions of Patan are Durbar Square, Krishna Mandir, Mahaboudha and Hiranya Verna Mahavihar. We will also meet Master of Singing Bowl Therapy (1 hr therapy) and visit Goldsmith and Silversmith working places to see how they make jewelers. After visit Patan, you will be offered a heritage walk (approx 3-4 hrs) from Teku to Kathmandu’s Durbar Square. The trail passes through local markets, temples, to Old Kathmandu city and provides plenty of opportunities for photography. You will visit Swaymbhunath Temple during this walking tour. Swayambhunath is regarded as one of the oldest stupas in the world. It is said to be more than 2500 years old. The stupa is also known as "Monkey Temple". Visit the Nunnery Monastery where you will receive the blessing from Senior Lama. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3

Changu Narayan and kathmandu valley

After breakfast drive 19 km to Changu Narayan and visit the oldest temple in the valley. It is a Vishnu temple, and was rebuilt in the 18th century. The sacred complex is a World Heritage Site and from the temple one can see the beautiful Manohara River flowing like a serpent through green fields, and to the north on a clear day one can see many Himalayan peaks and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding at 125 meters. We can see the Newari culture and tradition around Changu Narayan Temple. Later enjoy a hike (2-3 hrs) from Changu Narayan to Telkot. The walk follows the saddle of a ridge with great views of the valley. Then drive (25 minutes) to Bhaktapur and visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square where the Kings of the Malla dynasty lived till 1769 and has left some of the finest examples of the architectural excellence. Here explore the Royal Palace, the Golden Gate and the Entrance to the Palace of 55 Windows, known as the most significant piece of art in Nepal. Then visit the highest temple in the entire Kathmandu Valley –the Nyatapola Temple. Stay overnight at a hotel in Bhaktapur.
Day 4

Village of Namo Budhha

After breakfast drive 30 kilometers from central Bhaktapur is the little village of Namo Buddha. Its small size belies enormous importance to Buddhists. It has two points of interest –the Thrangu Tashi Yantse Monastery (home to around 250 monks) and the Namo Buddha Stupa (monastery). You have hike the 2 km to reach the monastery. Today you will observe prayers mediation interaction with monks. Stay overnight at Monastery (Namo Buddha).
Day 5

Daylong stay at Monastery (Namo Budhha)

Today you will spend full day at Monastery. Visit the Clinic (Mon, Wed & Sat 1000-1600 hrs). The clinic currently has one room devoted to the practice of Tibetan medicine, including acupuncture. The vision is to develop a full-fledged Tibetan medical and astrological facility (men tsi khang) that would provide training as well as medical and astrological services. Then visit the School. The school has developed over time, and now it offers a general education in Tibetan, English and Nepali, supplemented by complete training in religion and culture. In order to cultivate gentle, honorable students, the teachers give a Dharma-related talk every other week. To foster the monastic community, in addition to the religious activities of listening, contemplating, and meditating, the students also learn lama dancing, ritual practice, chanting, playing instruments, and Tibetan spelling, grammar, writing, and recitation. Afternoon attend the Prayers and other activities at Monastery or walk around nearby village. Stay overnight at Monastery (Namo Buddha).
Day 6

Hike to Panauti Village

After breakfast, drive to Saga from where you can hike to Panauti which takes around 3-4 hrs. Panauti village stands in a peaceful valley roughly six kilometers south of Banepa at a junction of the rivers Roshi and Pungamati. This place is relatively untouched by modernization where festivals preserving the precious tradition of the indigenous Newars are held. It possesses a number of interesting temples, one of which perhaps is the oldest in Nepal. There are fifteen houses run by women according to the motto “Run by Women for Women’s Empowerment” specially arranged for Home Stay. You will stay in a local house; facilities are basic but comfortable, live the same way as the host families do and taste local foods. There is only authentic Nepali food, but your hosts will be happy to adhere to any dietary requirements like –vegetarian/ vegan etc. Get close to the authentic lifestyle of the Nepali people, socialize with the villagers and breathe the fresh air of the lush Panauti Valley, interaction with family and cooking food.
Day 7

Chitwan

Early morning view the sun rise over the Himalayas and visit nearby temple watching how people offerings prayer. After breakfast, drive to Chitwan which will take 5-6 hrs depending on roads condition. It may take more time in case of traffic jam or land-slides. We will drive to the resort in Chitwan. Upon arrival at the Park entry point (Chitwan), met by representatives from the jungle lodge, cross the river on a small ferry and get transferred the Chitwan National Park. If time permits, we will offer you some jungle activities. Stay overnight at Jungle Lodge in Chitwan.
Day 8

Animal watching in Chitwan

Early wakeup call and proceed for an elephant ride, to view the wildlife in their early repose. This is the best time of the day to see the animals as we silently brush through dewy tall elephant grass (18-20 ft. tall), a habitat for rhinos, tigers and other wild animals. Spend 2-3 hrs in the jungle. Return to the camp for breakfast. Then you will be offered jungle activities including Canoeing, Jungle Walk and visit Tharu Home. Stay overnight at Jungle Lodge in Chitwan.
Day 9

Back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu and check-in at hotel. Evening is at leisure at Thamel. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 10

Departure

After breakfast, transfer to airport for onward destination.
