Places of Attraction: Salban Vihara, Rupban Mura, Kutila Mura, Temple and Archeological Museum.
Guide will pick you up from hotel lobby (hotel would be located at Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara area) and start for Mainamati Cumilla located 115 hrs away from the capital city Dhaka. Mainamati is an isolated low, dimpled range of hills, dotted with more than 50 ancient Buddhist settlements dating to between the 7 th -12 th centuries AD. It was part of the ancient Samatata division of Bengal. It is the home of one of the most important Buddhist archaeological sites in the region.
Visit Salban Vihara (monastery), Kutila Mura and Rupban Mura which are very important to study Buddhism. A new Buddhist temple has been built there by the Thai Government, with a Lotus Bud on top.
Have lunch with Bangladeshi simple dishes at a local restaurant.
Visit the rich archaeological museum. The recent excavation made it more attractive.
