Tour Overview

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Our representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport’s arrival hall after immigration and then transfer to your designated hotel. Free time at Thamel. Have dinner at a Nepalese restaurant with culture show. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2

Bazaar and Temple

Early morning, visit Ason Baazar to witness the early morning vegetable market and people making prayers in the Temples. Return hotel for breakfast. After breakfast bit time to repack, check the cameras and board the car at 1030 hrs to visit Holy Temple of Shiva. Visit Pashupatinath Temple the most sacred Hindu Temples in the world and is amongst the five principle pilgrimage a site for the Hindus. On an annual pilgrimage during Shivaratri Festival thousands of devotees of Lord Shiva from all the Hindu communities of the world pay their homage here. For the Hindus, to be cremated at Pashupatinath means a direct passage to heaven. After spending good amount of time and taking pictures, we will processed for the visit of Bouddhanath, the 2500 years old Buddhist stupa in the Valley built in 5th century with four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings. You will find Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels in the evening and it becomes lively too. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3

Gorkha

Have early breakfast and drive to Gorkha (144 km/ 4 hrs drive). En- route stop at Manakamana Cable Car to visit the Manakamana temple –one of the highly worshiped and oldest temples in Nepal and venerated since the 17 th century. It houses a goddess believed to grant the wishes of all those who make a pilgrimage to her shrine. After visiting the temple, there are two options for reaching your hotel as follow: Option 01: We will hike to day till Laxmi Bazar to reach your hotel. It is around 10 km and takes us around 3 hrs. We will pass through the villages and beautiful landscapes, people walking on their farm land, oranges farm and through the forest. Option 02: Return transfer by cable car and board the vehicle and drive to hotel (34 km/ 1 hrs drive) where you will stay night. Walk around the village in the afternoon and at evening, meet the local people and learn their traditional music. Stay overnight at a hotel in Gorkha.
Day 4

Gorkha Palace and Phewa Lake

Early morning walk in the village and visit Gorkha Palace and the Museum. Walk down to the town through the stairs, where you can see people coming from village to sell or buy goods in local markets. You will have the chance to share a cup of tea with them. Drive back to the hotel for the breakfast and then drive to Pokhara. Afternoon sightseeing of Pokhara includes a drive to Kalimati (1.5 mile) to visit the World Peace Stupa, situated high on a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the shrine enjoys a wonderful vantage point which offers spectacular views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara below. Walk down hill through the forest clad slopes where the guide will explain the flora and fauna. On reaching the shores of the lake, embark on an early evening cruise on Phewa Lake. Stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 5

Astam Village

After breakfast, drive 15 km to Phedi and hike to Dhampus (2 hrs) and free to explore the Gurung village with back drop of Mountains. Hike down to Astam (2.5 hrs) through the country side. We walked uphill, passing through the green terrace paddy fields. The green scenery cooled us from the hot sunshine. After 10 minutes, we reached a narrow stairway with many trees on both sides; this beautiful green tunnel will lead us to Astam –a small mountain village of which population is around 300 people and farming is the main source of income. In the evening, you will attend a cooking demonstration in a typical Nepali kitchen and discover how spices harmonized with the organic ingredients. Stay overnight at the Agro Resort Hana-No-ie at Astam.
Day 6

Himalayan Sunrise and Bhaktapur

Early morning you will witness the Sunrise over the Himalayas. You can also assist the farmers while they are milking early morning their buffaloes and cows. Return hotel for breakfast. Then hike down to Milan Chowk, board on the vehicle and drive to Pokhara city. Visit a small school where Tibetan language is still alive. Then drive to Pokhara Airport and connect flight to Kathmandu. If you are lucky to get left hand side seats you will get to see the mountains range all along till you land at Kathmandu. Arrive at Kathmandu and drive 12 km to Bhaktapur. Afternoon; visit the Old City. A short meeting with Mr. Rabindra Puri, founder of the RP-foundation and lecture on Architecture of Traditional building and Temple of Bhaktapur at his office. Evening; do photography around the Square. Have dinner with a local family with live cooking session. Stay overnight at a hotel at Bhaktapur.
Day 7

Depart Kathmandu

Early in the morning a Newari lady will come with flowers and lamp in the basket at your hotel and take you to the town to show you how to perform Puja at temple. You will also witness the early morning market of Bhaktapur. After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the final departure.
