Tour Overview

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Our representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport’s arrival hall after immigration and then transfer to your designated hotel. Free till stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2

Bouddhnath and Pashupatinath

Optional Tour: Take an early dawn flight to view the majestic Himalayan Range including Mt. Everest (8848 meter) [60 minutes flight]. After breakfast, visit the Tibetan Buddhist Stupa of Bouddhnath. Bouddhnath is one of the largest stupas in south-east Asia [45 minutes walking tour]. After this you will visit a Thangka painting centre. In the evening visit the Pashupatinath Temple to witness the Aarti Ceremony on the banks of river Bagmati (only Hindus are allowed inside the temple premises). Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3

Bhaktapur

After breakfast drive to Bhaktapur (14 km/ 45 minutes drive). En-route, visit the quaint town of Thimi, where pottery is still practiced in the centuries old way. After arrival at Bhaktapur, you will visit a wood-craft centre, paper factory and a pottery centre. Stay overnight at a hotel at Bhaktapur.
Day 4

Changu Narayan and Local Family Tour

After breakfast, visit the oldest temple of the valley named Changu Narayan Temple. It is a Vishnu temple, was built in the 4th century during the time of the Lichhavi rulers, and was rebuilt in the 18th century. The sacred complex is a World Heritage Site and from the temple one can see the beautiful Manohara River flowing like a serpent through green fields, and to the north on a clear day one can see many Himalayan peaks and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding at 125 meters. You will get to see local people worshipping at the temple. Later enjoy a hike (2-3 hrs) from Changu Narayan to Telkot. The walk follows the saddle of a ridge with great views of the valley on right hand side and the Himalayas on the left hand side. The route passes through small villages and farmlands that are almost always bustling with activity as the farmers work their fields. Few Tamang villages lie between Changu Narayan and Telkot. Telkot is a small village with few small houses some of which have small stalls selling tea to travelers on the way to Nagarkot. Then drive back to Bhaktapur and visit a local school. After which you will be invited into a local family’s home for dinner. Stay overnight at a hotel in Bhaktapur.
Day 5

Betni Farm

After breakfast, drive to Rasuwa (98 kms/ 4 hrs drive) and visit the Durbar. Then drive to Betini Farm House. Have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 6

Farming and Cooking

After breakfast, you will go for a walk through the village and see the daily lifestyle. Learn to make butter in traditional style, work on the field and milk the buffalo cow. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. Evening learn cooking food. Have lunch and dinner and stay overnight at Farm House.
Day 7

Pokhara

After breakfast, drive 200 km (6 hrs) to Pokhara –one of the most picturesque natural attractions in the kingdom. En-route you can take an optional tour: cable cars ride of Manakamana and Gondola and visit the Manakamana Temple (Goddess of wishes’ Temple). Stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 8

Himalayan Sunrise and Phewa Lake

We head out before daybreak to Sarangkot to watch the glorious sunrise over the Himalayas. Return to the hotel for breakfast; afterwards enjoy a tour of Pokhara city. Visit the Seti gorge, Davis falls, Tibetan Refugee camp for Tibetan Carpet and also Old Bazaar where you can witness how traditional utensils are hammered out of sheets of brass. Then visit the International Mountain Museum. Afternoon boating on Phewa Lake and hike to Peace Pagoda. Stay overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 9

Pokhara Valley and Refugee Camp Tour

After breakfast, drive to Phewa Power House (07 kms/15 min drive). We start walk from Parking and after crossing the suspension bridge, walk through small Damsadi Village. Enjoy the sceneries of Pardi River, Annapurna, Manaslu Himalayan range and entire Pokhara valley. Further walk to Ambot Village (950 meter). Return to the parking area walking through the same way and drive back to Pokhara. In the late afternoon visit the Jangchub Choeling Tibetan Monastery. After that we will drive to Hemja Refugee Camp (5 km). Once we reach there, interaction with a Family and then processed to the Monastery to attend the prayers. Visit monks’ school, Buddhist temple and Tibetan market. Explore the entire village on foot, your guide will keep you refresh with loads of information. Drive back to hotel for night stay.
Day 10

Chitwan Forest

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park (approx 160 km/ 4-5 hrs). Chitwan is famous for its wilderness and home to tigers, rhinos, sloth bears, leopards, crocodiles and over 400 species of birds, is now an UNESCO designated World Heritage Site and a runaway conservation success. By day, venture into the jungle on elephant-back, on foot or by dugout to observe the abundant flora and fauna. Evenings are for sitting back to hearty meals and heartier stories from the jungles. Have dinner and stay overnight at a Resort in Chitwan.
Day 11

Jungle Safari and Tribal Cultural Show

Early wakeup call and proceed for jungle activities including Elephant ride, Canoeing, Elephant Breeding Center, Jeep drive and Jungle Walk. (Note: Jeep Safari is prohibited during monsoon season by the park authorities from June-September and in some season it can prolong till October.) In the afternoon visit a nearby village of the local people knows as the “Tharus”. Get a close look into the lifestyle of this hardworking community. In the evening enjoy Tharu Cultural Dance Show. Stay overnight at Jungle Lodge in Chitwan.
Day 12

Return to Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu (165 Km/ 5-6 hrs). Upon arrival, check-in hotel and free for overnight.
Day 13

Heritage Walking Tour

After breakfast, go for heritage walk starting from Teku and end at Kathmandu’s Durbar Square. The trail passes through local markets, temples, to Old Kathmandu city and provides plenty of opportunities for photography. On this heritage walk we cover almost 06 km of the city this will take us approximately 3-4 hours. Afternoon there will be another walking tour (3 hrs) fascinating Nepalese architecture. You can witness craftsmen busy at work making wooden masks, impressive golden statue of god and goddess, stone smiths making the traditional Dunge Dhara (Stone taps) etc. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 14

Depart Kathmandu

After breakfast, transfer to airport for onward destination.
